Taken with my Kodak V530 camera
This was taken a couple of summers ago at my mom's house right after a little summer storm blew over. The sun came out, and all of the flowers around mom's porch were glistening with rain drops. What a photo opportunity! I took a ton of pictures that day, but this is definitely my favorite. It is also one that has been framed and put on my wall.
I love the pure color, the raindrops on the petals, the contrast between the fuzzy white leaves and the smooth red flower, the way the camera focused in on just what I wanted it too, leaving everything else out of focus a little bit, and the glow of the sun around the leaves. Basically, for once, the picture turned out just like I had 'seen' it in my head! :)~
